FODERINGHAM made his 15th clean sheet of the season on Saturday as Rangers beat Falkirk 1-0 and he thinks that the light blues can go unbeaten for the rest of the Championship season.
The Englishman is proving not only the strikers are being influential this season.
The keeper has been a big player for Rangers this season in trying to help Mark Warburton’s side back to the Scottish Premiership after receiving his 15th clean sheet from 29 matches across all competitions.
Saturday would have been the first game since Warburton took over the Glasgow side in which they failed to score, before Billy King’s debut goal.
The last time the Scottish giants shot blank was the 3-0 defeat to Motherwell in the play-offs last season – and the last time they failed to score at home was a 2-0 defeat to Hibs in February 2015.
The Ibrox club have scored an outstanding 91 goals in Scotland this season and 64 goals in a mere 22 league matches but Foderingham gets the most pride from his 10 clean sheets in the Championship.
The 25-year-old was forced to make two vital saves in the match on the Saturday, one in each half, to stop Will Vaulks and Conor McGrandles from finding the net, helping his side move even further away from Hibs at the top of the table despite the teams poor performance.
He said: “We have played Falkirk three times now and they have given us a difficult game on each occasion.
“I was called upon to make a couple of saves and am grateful I could pull them off but the whole defence played its part.
“Shots were coming through legs and the defence was there to pick up the second balls.
“It was a brilliant performance all round by the defence.“We were a bit below par as a team and we know it.
“We lacked a bit of quality in the final third but defensively we were fantastic and you can’t take away from that.
“The forwards won’t score four or five every week so the defenders need to be there when called upon.
“We will try and continue that into the coming games and see if we can stay unbeaten for the rest of the season.”
