# A lot of Rangers fans are delighted for Sheyi Ojo

“You’re getting better and better” – A lot of Gers fans are delighted for Sheyi Ojo – after he bagged his [first SPFL goal](https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=80195) for Rangers.

Ojo added the final goal in a[6-1 demolition](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/49314816) of Hibernian at Ibrox – but also provided [an assist](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/49314816) for Jermain Defoe, as well as having a [prominent role](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/49314816) to play in Rangers’ first goal.

The 22-year-old hit a [speculative effort](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/49314816) from long distance that [Ofir Marciano](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/49314816) could only parry to Defoe – and he tapped the [ball in](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/49314816).

Ojo has had several [unsuccessful loan spells](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/what-sheyi-ojo-bring-rangers-16500412) in his career – but this move to Ibrox could prove to be the [making of him](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/what-sheyi-ojo-bring-rangers-16500412).

So far, he has scored [three goals](https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=80195) and recorded [one assist](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/top-scorers) – and he seems to be enjoying life under Steven Gerrard.

Certainly, a lot of Rangers fans are starting to like Ojo.

These Gers fans are just replying with SO – which are, of course, Ojo’s initials. This suggests that he is starting to form a bond with many Rangers fans.https://twitter.com/SmithScore/status/1160708511543808001
