# “Can’t believe you play for us” – These Rangers supporters hail Defoe

“Can’t believe you play for us” – A lot of Gers fans are delighted with Jermain Defoe – after he bagged his [first hat-trick](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49223754) for the club.

Defoe was in sublime form – as he scored a [perfect treble](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/49314816), scoring with his left-foot, right-foot and his head.

The 36-year-old has now moved onto [five goals](https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=17118) in all competitions for the season – and he looks hungry to get as many as he possibly can this year.

Since [signing in January](https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/rangers-sign-jermain-defoe/), the former Spurs man has scored [13 goals](https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=17118) in [25 appearances](https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=17118) – and is quickly becoming a [fan-favourite](https://twitter.com/IAmJermainDefoe/status/1160607682581192704) at Ibrox.

Performances like this one against Hibernian will only increase the love for Defoe.

These Rangers fans love Defoe due to his on-pitch performances – but also because he is a [class act](https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/defoe-remembers-his-special-friendship-with-young-bradley-lowery.75797/)off the field.

Other Gers fans cannot believe that their club have Defoe – and they feel lucky that he has decided to play for them.
