# These Rangers fans are pleased with Gerrard’s latest press-conference

“Need to be ruthless” – A lot of Gers supporters are pleased with Steven Gerrard’s latest press-conference ahead of tonight’s game against Midtjylland.

Gerrard’s side head into the second leg of their Europa League Qualifying tie with a healthy [two-goal lead](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49272052) and [four away goals](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49272052).

It would take an [outstanding performance](https://www.rangersnews.uk/news/rangers-opponents-midtjylland-record-comfortable-win-before-ibrox-trip/) from Midtjylland to see the Danish club qualify for the next round.

However, Gerrard is not taking [anything for granted](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/14/celtic-cluj-exit-champions-league-rangers-steven-gerrard) and he wants his side to turn up and [finish the job](https://twitter.com/RangersFC/status/1161676424404721664).

After Celtic crashed out of the [Champions League](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49323840) this week, Gerrard does not want to see his side also [succumb in Europe](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/14/celtic-cluj-exit-champions-league-rangers-steven-gerrard).

Many Rangers fans are delighted with the attitude shown by their manager.

See the best of the reaction below.

> 🗣️ "Tomorrow is a good test from a mental view. I don’t want a casual team thinking that because it has a two-goal advantage the job is done. That won’t be the case."

A lot of Gers fans want their side to [finish the job](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/14/celtic-cluj-exit-champions-league-rangers-steven-gerrard) and be professional – they do not wish to follow Celtic in falling out of European competition too early If they get through they will face [Legia Warsaw](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-face-legia-warsaw-europa-18935516).

Other Rangers fans were delighted with Gerrard’s words and they can be confident their side will not be [complacent](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/14/celtic-cluj-exit-champions-league-rangers-steven-gerrard).
