# “Job Done” – Rangers fans react to Betfred Cup win over East Fife

“That’ll do lads, that’ll do” – A lot of Gers supporters have reacted as their side cruised past [East Fife](https://rangers.co.uk/news/match-report/east-fife-0-3-rangers/)in the Betfred Cup.

Rangers turned in a [professional performance](https://rangers.co.uk/news/match-report/east-fife-0-3-rangers/) in tricky conditions, and they will now travel to [Livingston](https://twitter.com/RangersFC/status/1163122291431092224) in the quarter-final.

Goals from [Jermain Defoe](https://rangers.co.uk/news/match-report/east-fife-0-3-rangers/), [Joe Aribo](https://rangers.co.uk/news/match-report/east-fife-0-3-rangers/) and [Filip Helander’s](https://rangers.co.uk/news/match-report/east-fife-0-3-rangers/) first for the club were enough for Steven Gerrard’s side, and though they were not at [their best](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-match-reports/east-fife-0-rangers-3-18958029), they still managed to score [three goals](https://rangers.co.uk/news/match-report/east-fife-0-3-rangers/) on a wind-swept pitch.

Many Rangers fans were unconvinced by the performance but pleased with the result – but they expect to see more from Gerrard’s side.

See the best of the reaction below.

Many Gers fans are pleased that their side won and they don’t really care how they played. Rangers achieved their aim of making the next round, and that is all that should matter.

> Poor from 2nd teamers… reliant on Aribo, Defoe and Kamara today … horrible wind though

However, other Rangers supporters are annoyed at the performance – but they are pleased they are through to the next round.
