- Rangers to visit Falkirk on the final day
On Tuesday, the SPFL announced the post-split fixtures for Rangers’ remaining five matches of the Scottish Premiership season.
Rangers will play another two home matches and a further three away with Motherwell and Hibernian to visit Ibrox while the Gers are set to return to Celtic, Hearts and Falkirk.
As the news trickled through, fans provided their immediate reaction to the announcement.
Rangers fans reaction
With the Ibrox faithful arranging their diaries for the fixture dates, they took to social media to offer their thoughts.
One user said: “Order and opponent really does not matter, win them all and we win the league. Simple as that…”
Another commented: “We welcome the challenge. We will beat all of them. And we will win the league. 56 incoming.”
A third account also expressed optimism: “Just got to win them one by one. Starting at Falkirk.”
However, there are supporters who seem bewildered at the day and time of the visit to Tynecastle with Rangers’ away match to Hearts slated for Monday 4 May, 17:30 GMT.
One comment reads: “Rangers v Hearts Monday at 5:30pm? Really?”
Another wrote: “Hearts away at 5:30pm on a bank holiday Monday is wild.”
A third said: “Hearts on a Monday at half 5…”
The fixture discrepancies with the top six has proved a headache for SPFL organisers with a third visit to the Falkirk Stadium also raising eyebrows.
An individual said: “Should we not be playing Falkirk at home because we played them away twice and once at home”
Meanwhile, another posted: “I’m confused, that means we have played Falkirk three times away?
Another user also believes that it should be the Bairns visiting Ibrox and not the other way around: “Falkirk away, we should have them at home.”

The SPFL can never please everyone when they release the post-split fixtures as fans of all clubs get frustrated over their team’s fixtures, when and where they are playing their opponents, etcetera.
The bottom line is that it should not matter to Danny Rohl or the players.
Their task is simple, win their remaining six matches and silverware will be heading to the Trophy Room at Ibrox.
