- Rangers have four away matches in their final six games
- Gers have won one of last four away matches
- Three consecutive draws remains a concern
Rangers’ trip to Falkirk this weekend will be the first of four away matches facing Danny Rohl and his players.
The trip to Grangemouth will precede visits to Celtic and Hearts before a return to the Falkirk Stadium on the final day.
Confidence is high amongst the Gers after high scoring victories against Aberdeen and Dundee United has kept them firmly in the title hunt.
However, those were at home, not away.
Away from the fortress that is Ibrox, Rangers are winless in their last three with draws against Hibernian, Motherwell and Livingston.
Draws underpin season-long inconsistency label
Rangers’ last three away draws was the 10th, 11th and 12th time this season that the Gers have walked away with a share of the spoils.
Each of the draws also arrived in the aftermath of a home win with the last away point against bottom club Livingston preceded by a 4-2 victory against league leaders Hearts.
The draw in West Lothian at the end of February prevented Rangers going within two points of their title rivals, despite the Gers coming back from two goals behind.
That example highlights why Rangers have understandably been frequently tarnished with the inability to be consistent label this season, especially after they have followed a win in Govan which had built momentum.
What is also evident is that, according to the away form table, the Gers rank in first place on the number of draws (7) alongside fifth place Motherwell and bottom six side Dundee United.
This is more than both their title rivals with Hearts and Celtic only drawn three away games this season.
Frightening pattern looms ahead of Falkirk trip
Rangers know what is at stake ahead of this Sunday’s lunchtime clash but the upcoming away trip is at risk of following a concerning pattern that has developed of late.
Danny Rohl’s men are buoyed after they returned to the league summit for the first time in two years last weekend, albeit temporarily.
However, the last three times that the Ibrox faithful were in good spirits before an away match, it was replaced by a sense of disappointment and frustration.
And that is a movie that cannot be repeated for any of the remaining four away matches that are to come.

Although you can point to other factors that show Rangers’ strengths away from home, it is the most recent away results that are fresh in the memory.
And until those can be replaced by a convincing string of away victories, the knowledge of the Gers’ shaky form at a ground that is not Ibrox will remain at the back of your head.
