# Rangers prepare significant offer for PSV winger Couhaib Driouech

**Rangers have returned to the table for Couhaib Driouech, with a significant offer to be submitted for the PSV Eindhoven winger.**

With Derek McInnes looking to sharpen his attack immediately, efforts have been renewed to land the Dutch-born Moroccan.

The latest updates on the situation emerged on Sunday morning, with the [Rangers Review](https://www.rangersreview.co.uk/news/26448363.rangers-launch-improved-bid-psv-forward-couhaib-driouech/) indicating that negotiations are ongoing with the Eredivisie club.

Reports of an initial rejected bid were downplayed, with Rangers said to be working toward a deal in the region of £7 million.

That correlates with sources in the Netherlands, [including Mounir Boualin](https://www.soccernews.nl/news/transferstrijd-om-psv-aanvaller-barst-los-tweede-club-meldt-zich/), indicating that PSV is holding out for a package of between €8-8.5m for the winger.

## What the Driouech bid means for McInnes

“The Rangers Review understands Driouech is one of a handful of targets that are still being pursued by the Ibrox recruitment team.

“Discussions started with PSV earlier this week and sources at Ibrox have insisted that no official bid has been rejected after reports in Holland of a £6million offer for Driouech.

“Further talks are expected in the coming days as Rangers look to reach an agreement worth around £7million for Driouech”

The renewed approach is the latest twist in an ongoing chase and forms part of Rangers’ wider [hunt for a new winger](https://readrangers.com/2026/07/31/doubt-cast-over-rangers-bid-for-most-exciting-winger-fares-ghedjemis-as-celtic-renew-interest).

Driouech was left out of PSV’s matchday squad for the weekend draw with Fortuna Sittard, with his departure expected soon.

It won’t all be plain sailing for Rangers, with [Celta Vigo also very keen on the 24-year-old](https://readrangers.com/2026/08/07/celta-vigo-launch-hijack-rangers-bid-couhaib-driouech).

### Priority position for Rangers

Rangers have a great urgency for quality on the wings.

Daisuke Yokota is now in the building, but another serious option is needed on the right flank, as well as a left winger.

Driouech would be the profile for the latter, while Rangers appear to be back to the drawing board for another right winger, with ‘interest cooled’ on Fares Ghedjemis after an [£8 million bid was turned down by Frosinone](https://readrangers.com/2026/08/04/rangers-spending-power-fares-ghedjemis-situation).

These signings will be crucial for Derek McInnes in his efforts to build a team truly capable of meeting the demands and expectations that lie ahead this season.

The need for quality is glaringly obvious.
