# Derek McInnes all but confirms Dan Neil at left-back against Jagiellonia

**Derek McInnes has all but confirmed Dan Neil will play at left-back for Rangers v Jagiellonia Bialystok tonight.**

The Gers boss has opted to be “bold and brave”, admitting an element of risk in the line-up, which he feels is necessary to take the game to the Polish side.

Rangers need to overturn a one-goal deficit, and will need to put in the best performance this season to date, to get the job done.

Speaking to Rangers TV, McInnes said:

“We’ve tried to be really bold with the team, it’s no secret we’re a left-back short.

“Because of where they (Jagiellonia) want to play their bodies, I didn’t really want to go with a right-footed player at left-back to constantly come inside the pitch.

“There’s an element of risk with the team”

> 💭 “We have 90 minutes to turn the game around, but ideally we want a quick start.”\
