# Major talking points as Rangers are dumped out of the Europa League

**Rangers failed to get the job done against Jagiellonia Bialystok as Derek McInnes’ team were dumped out of the Europa League.**

Deservedly.

Make no mistake, Derek McInnes is under serious pressure already.

Four competitive games with one goal scored by a Rangers player from open play.

The alarm bells are ringing loudly.

## Talking points as Rangers fail miserably against Jagiellonia Bialystok

Once again, Rangers took the lead against Jagiellonia but couldn’t do anything with it.

A Lawrence Shankland penalty put Rangers ahead, in what was a fortunate decision. That was the high water mark, but it only got worse.

**Why did Derek McInnes change things at half-time?**

The 3-5-2 carried a risk, but Rangers were generally on top.

Once McInnes switched to 4-4-2, the game turned to basketball, and the visitors grew into the game. Zero control, zero creativity, ground zero.

Strelec equalised on 64 minutes and Jagiellonia deserved it.

Ibrox grew louder in frustration and a poor passage of play on 70 minutes when an attack fell apart was met with howls of derision.

The anxiety and anger exploded.

McInnes then swapped Nico Raskin and Dan Neil for Vanja Dragojevic and Cammy Devlin in a straight swap. **It changed nothing.**

No attacking impetus, or no real hope. Rangers didn’t look like scoring.

A couple of half-chances came and went, but the game finished with Rangers getting what they deserved. Nothing.

### Rangers now scrambling for Conference League football

Rangers will now face Jablonec in a Conference League Playoff tie, but that can’t be taken for granted.

The Czechs will fancy their chances, and why wouldn’t they?

Before that, St. Mirren come to Ibrox on Sunday on League Cup business, and serious pressure is building.

**Derek McInnes needs to get a hold of this situation before it’s too late.**
