Haris Vučkić has today been stoking the flames of the rumours linking him with a move back to Ibrox. The Slovenian attacker has today been using his Official Twitter account to retweet Rangers fans calling for his return to the Championship leaders. There have been numerous pictures from his time at Rangers and fans hoping to see him return to Rangers this summer.

The current Newcastle player began the day by retweeting an article from Slovenian journalist Miran Zore, where Vučkić is quoted as saying “I am leaving Newcastle United for sure” but then goes on to name Glasgow Rangers and Turkish club Antalyaspor as potential destinations while stating there are some other clubs interested.
The attacker previously joined Rangers on loan from Newcastle United in February playing 13 times to the end of the season before returning to his parent club. However since Steve McClaren has taken over the reigns at St. James’ Park he has deemed Vučkić surplus to requirements leading to speculation he could become another of Mark Warburton’s Premier League recruits.

Vučkić scored 9 goals in his first spell at Ibrox, including one on his debut in a Scottish Cup defeat to Raith Rovers. Vučkić will be hoping to get goals with whatever club he signs for in a bid to get back into the International arena. With only 1 cap for his native Slovenia coming back in 2012, the attacker will be hoping to force his way into the thoughts of coach Srečko Katanec as they currently sit in a play-off position in Euro 2016 qualifying with 4 qualifiers remaining with the finals in France next summer.
Mark Warburton will continue to monitor the situation and hope that if Haris Vučkić does return to Rangers he can have the same impact as the other new arrivals this summer namely, James Tavernier and Nathan Oduwa.
