St Johnstone chief Steve Brown yesterday insisted that there have been no further bids for ‘Gers target Michael O’Halloran.
Last week the news broke that Rangers had two offers in the region of £150k-£200k rejected for the winger, who was ‘rested’ for St. Johnstone’s fixture with Hamilton last weekend.
Brown was quick to indie that although O’Halloran was not actively in the transfer market, it would depend on whether or not Rangers were to offer, what he called “acceptable bids.”
Brown said:
“We’ve not actively put Michael on the market. We’ve always said he’s not for sale. We’d like to keep him but that really depends on if we get further acceptable bids.”
The news comes as a surprise to a lot of ‘Gers fans after reports yesterday suggested that deals for both O’Halloran and Brentford’s Diagouraga were ‘imminent.’

Contrary to reports, the deals seem far from complete and it has left many Rangers fans with growing frustrations regarding the club’s transfer deals. After the Scott Allan summer saga ‘Gers fans do not want this to similarly escalate.

The Daily Record today broke the news that if Rangers want the player they will need to stump up £500k and rumour or not, there is question marks regarding the club’s capability of paying the deal up front with rumours of bids encompassing instalment payments circulating.
