Rangers are apparently looking to sign striker James Vaughan on a free transfer, according to a report from the Huddersfield Examiner .
Vaughan’s contract with Huddersfield Town expires this summer and he could follow the likes of Jordan Rossiter, Joey Barton, and Clint Hill by making a free-agent move to Ibrox.
Rangers assistant manager Davie Weir knows Vaughan well as the pair were at Everton together and it looks like they could reunite in Glasgow.

Vaughan has had an injury-hit career since bursting onto the scene with Everton, but when fit, he’s still got a pretty decent goalscoring record.
He found the back of the net 33 times in 95 games for Huddersfield, a ratio of roughly a goal every three games, which would be most welcome if he does move to Rangers.
He spent the majority of last season on loan at Birmingham but struggled to make an impact. He made just 16 appearances, only five as a starter, but failed to get any goals.
