“Another international in the team” – A lot of Gers fans are delighted for Joe Aribo after he was handed his first international call-up to the Nigeria squad.
The 23-year-old joined Rangers this summer after his contract at Charlton Athletic expired
He supposedly turned down interest from the Championship and the Premier League to move to Glasgow.
However, he was criticised for this by his former manager Lee Bowyer who claimed that Aribo could do much better and that he was making the wrong career choice.
After just six games for Steven Gerrard’s side he has received his first international call-up – making Bowyer’s claims look somewhat misguided.
Aribo has impressed so far, scoring three goals in all competitions.
Many Gers fans are pleased for their new midfielder.
