“Hope you enjoyed your rest captain” – A lot of Gers fans have reacted to James Tavernier’s post on Twitter.
Tavernier was given the weekend off by Steven Gerrard – as Rangers gear up for their Europa League qualifier against Legia Warsaw.
The Rangers’ captain spent his weekend off watching his teammates beat East Fife 3-0 in the Betfred Cup in tough conditions on a plastic pitch.
The fact that Tavernier has congratulated the team after their win has gone down very well with a lot of Gers fans.
The 27-year-old’s attention will now switch to getting his side into the Europa League group stages.
These Rangers fans love Tavernier’s comments.
