  • Rangers face Falkirk at the Falkirk Stadium on Sunday afternoon
  • The Gers have failed to pick up a victory against Falkirk this season
  • Danny Rohl’s men must win to maintain their title push

Danny Rohl’s Rangers face fellow top-six side Falkirk in the final game of the SPFL regular season.

Rangers seem to be hitting their goalscoring touch at a pivotal moment after blitzing Aberdeen and Dundee United.

The Gers sit just one point behind Hearts in the table after initially going above them after their win last Saturday.

Every game is like a cup final as we enter the last six games of the season.

Rohl’s side face a Falkirk team that has caused problems for every team in the division, earning their spot in the top half split.

The Bairns have secured 46 points so far this campaign, comfortably sitting nine points ahead of Dundee United in seventh.

Rangers haven’t beaten Falkirk in two league encounters this campaign, but Sunday would be the perfect time to get the first.

Recent results

Since their promotion to the Premiership, Falkirk have proved to be a formidable team in the top tier of Scottish football.

Last time out, the Bairns beat a very good Motherwell side away from home, securing a 3-2 victory.

The most recent Premiership Player of the Month, Barney Stewart, opened the scoring in the third minute.

In the last five, Falkirk have picked up three wins, drawn one, and lost one.

They put five past Kilmarnock in the Premiership and secured a Scottish Cup semi-final date after beating Dundee United.

After they’ve played Rangers, Falkirk face Dunfermline at Hampden for a place in the final.

Rangers have seemingly put their Scottish Cup disappointment behind them and seem to be hitting their groove at the right time.

Since losing to Celtic on penalties, the Gers have won their last three on the bounce.

They beat St Mirren 1-0 before two scintillating home victories against Aberdeen (4-1) and Dundee United (4-2).

The Gers sit only one point behind Hearts in the table, but as form goes, Danny Rohl’s men are full of confidence.

Rangers are currently 15 games unbeaten in the league, and that must continue if they are to win the league.

Rangers’ predicted XI

The biggest talking point ahead of Sunday’s game is Ryan Naderi, who is sidelined with an injury for the contest.

Tuur Rommens is not expected to be fit, so Jayden Meghoma is expected to start at left back.

[4-2-2-2] Butland; Sterling, Fernandez, Djiga, Meghoma; Aasgaard, Raskin, Chukwuani, Skov Olsen; Miovski, Chermiti.

Falkirk’s predicted XI

As for Falkirk, Ross Maclver, Louie Marsh, Ben Parkinson, Liam Henderson, and Kyrell Wilson are all expected to miss out.

[4-2-3-1] Hogarth; Adams, Donaldson, Allan, McCann; Spencer, Tait; Ross, Yeats, Miller; Stewart.
