- Extent of Ryan Naderi injury problem still to be confirmed.
- The Dresden-born player was forced off at half-time against Dundee United
- Reports that Naderi was ruled out for the season were premature, but the threat of that loss remains
Rangers supporters are eagerly awaiting clarity on the Ryan Naderi injury situation, but the latest briefing is that the club is still to learn the severity of the problem.
The rumour mill went into overdrive yesterday with fears that the former Hansa Rostock frontman would be ruled out for the rest of the season.
However, that is not yet confirmed.
Weeks or months is the question that needs to be answered.
On Thursday morning, Chris Jack of the Rangers Review advised that we “can’t put timelines on it” just now.
Ryan Naderi injury problem still unclear
The well-placed source, close to all matters at Ibrox, was speaking on his platform’s morning briefing show when he conveyed his latest understanding.
“As we’re speaking, we still don’t know the full extent of what the injury is.
“Rangers themselves still don’t know, so therefore I don’t think we can put any timelines on it, or we can’t put a number matches on it.
Jack continued, “That answer from Danny Rohl at the weekend (post Dundee United) sent a shiver down the spine of a lot of fans, unfortunately.
“It’s an injury that Rangers have to let settle for a little bit over the space of a couple of days so that a full assessment can be done and we hope to have a bit more clarity over the course of today.”

An authoritative update will likely be provided on the Ryan Naderi injury situation when Danny Rohl addresses the media tomorrow morning, ahead of Sunday’s Falkirk clash.
Rangers can ill afford another lengthy injury to a key player, when the business end of the SPFL campaign is coming fast.
The split fixtures have been announced, and the path to glory is set, but whether the Gers can get the job done remains to be seen.
If the Ryan Naderi injury problem means the striker is ruled out for most or all of the remaining games, the task becomes more difficult.
It appears almost certain that he will be absent from the Falkirk Stadium this weekend, but that creates the opportunity for Bojan Miovski and Thelo Aasgaard.
Both players made a crucial contribution last weekend and that has to continue.
They must stand up and be counted.
