- Player relationships highlighted
Rangers have released official club images of the training camp in Marbella, Spain this week with players pictured in training.
The images come as Danny Rohl and his squad are set to arrive back in Glasgow today.
Rangers will now prepare for the return of competitive action next weekend when they welcome Motherwell to Ibrox in the first of five crucial matches.
Ryan Naderi and Tuur Rommens pictured as return nears
The sight of two players on the turf in Marbella that will please supporters is that of Ryan Naderi and Tuur Rommens.
Naderi, who followed an assist in the victory over Aberdeen at the end of March with a goal against Dundee United the following week has since been missing with a muscle injury.
The fact that the striker was getting his feet firmly under the table at Ibrox only to get injured was a massive blow and the signs of his return will be a welcome boost for Rohl.
Meanwhile, Rommens, another of the manager’s January signings had spent six consecutive matches in the starting line up before his injury at the beginning of April.
The left-back scored the only goal in the win against St Mirren shortly before his spell on the sidelines and will be desperate to return to form ahead of the run-in.
Bailey Rice was also seen pictured with the 19-year-old out of the squad since August and now looks to be well on the road to recovery.
The bonds between Rangers’ players evident in images
In amongst the 29 pictures released by the club, although the vast majority are of the Rangers squad working hard in the Spanish sun, the strong relationship between the players is clear to see.
Not only is there a group image with the players and staff but you can see them deep in conversation at the gym or posing for photos on the pitch.
Rohl was clear in his preview of the Marbella trip about how he wanted it to not be just about the work but for the squad to develop relationships.
Therefore the inclusion of those images is important and seemingly shows that the players are returning to Ibrox stronger as a team.

The training images of Naderi and Rommens means Rangers are returning to Glasgow stronger than when they left.
Danny Rohl will be hoping that when they next pull on the Rangers’ shirt they will have the immediate impact needed to help fire the club to title glory.
But even more important than that, the manager will also hope the players show that he made the right call in sending them to a place in the sun.
