- Danny Rohl is under increasing pressure at Rangers after his side’s third consecutive loss
- The 3-1 loss to Celtic was another capitulation, at a time when the fans are rapidly losing faith
- Rohl was asked to send a message to the supporters but his response left a lot to be desired
Danny Rohl is a good man with an affable character. He is a talented coach but as things stand, he is on the brink in his current position at Ibrox.
The German coach presided over another debacle yesterday, with Rangers capitulating once again, once the going got tough.
As it was against Hearts, a 1-0 lead was squandered and once the opposition rallied, Rohl and his players had no answers.
Celtic coasted the second half and everyone knew that the game was up at 3-1.
The same can be said for Danny Rohl, who looked a defeated, condemned man in the post-match press conference.
Danny Rohl message to the fans could be one of his last
Look at the body language.
Listen to the unconvincing words and the lack of conviction when he was asked about his message to the Rangers supporters who are struggling to believe that he is the man to turn things around, and lead yet another revival into 2026/27.
(2.09) “Yeah, in general, that we have to improve in some areas, we have to develop our resilience in some moments.
“I think you saw today a team who put a lot of energy in, but in football you have some small stories during the game, and then you see again in some key areas, our decision-making.
“If you make the mistakes again and again on this level, then it’s really tough to take the right results.”

What a non-response. A lot of words without saying anything meaningful.
No conviction. No desire. No sense of purpose.
This wasn’t about the game and the lost opportunity that had just gone by.
Danny Rohl was presented with an opportunity to speak to the supporters and to make it resonate, despite the difficult situation.
He failed to take it, but not only that, he added to the feeling and sense of direction that he is approaching the end of the road at Rangers.
