The date and kick-off time has been confirmed for the Scottish League Cup quarter-final between Rangers and Celtic.
The draw was made on Sunday, following Rangers’ resounding 5-1 victory over St.Mirren, the first competitive win this season for Derek McInnes.
The semi-final will take place on Sunday 13 September, with a 12:00 noon kick-off at Ibrox.
It means Rangers will play Celtic twice in a week, with the Scottish Premiership fixture set for the following Sunday at Parkhead.
It is yet to be confirmed, but it’s been suggested Rangers will play the postponed St.Mirren league clash (due to be played this weekend, 22/23 Aug) in between the Celtic games, which would mean the Old Firm games won’t be back to back.

Derek McInnes was delighted to secure his side’s passage to the last eight of the League Cup, and bag his first win in the process.
The result and performance provides something to build on, while he talked up the prospect of a high profile cup clash against Celtic, that sets up a defining period in September.
Reacting to the draw on Sunday, McInnes said:
“I’m delighted to be at home, obviously it’s a mouth-watering tie.
“If you’re going to win the trophy, you need to beat the better teams. Obviously, Celtic coming here, which I think means we’ll face them two weeks in a row. it will be eagerly to anticipated by everybody.
“It will be something to look forward to.
“Hopefully by the time that game comes around, we’ll have a few more wins, and the squad will be a lot more settled and a bit stronger than it is at the minute because it will need to be to wrestle with a team like Celtic.”
