Rangers striker Ryan Naderi will make his first international start for Czechia against England at Wembley Stadium in the UEFA Nations League tonight.
The 23-year-old forward, who joined Rangers from Hansa Rostock in February 2026, has been named in Santi Denia’s starting eleven for the Group A3 clash.
Czechia’s confirmed lineup includes Naderi up front alongside Ambros and Lingr.
They will have plenty of work to do, but that trio will be expected to carry the Czechs attacking output.
Naderi embraces the international stage
Born in Dresden, Germany, Naderi qualifies for Czechia through his mother (he is also eligible for Bulgaria via his father and holds German citizenship).
After overcoming paperwork delays to secure a Czech passport, he made his international debut as a second-half substitute in Czechia’s 3-1 defeat to world champions Spain on 3 October, where he had a goal disallowed.
His rapid rise has been striking. After impressing at Rangers, including scoring the winner in a 1-0 Old Firm victory over Celtic last month, he earned his first senior call-up.
Contact from Czech legend Pavel Nedvěd helped seal his decision to represent the country of his mother’s heritage, where his grandmother still resides.
Naderi has his Czech passport in place, and now his international career is underway.
For Rangers fans, it’s another landmark moment in a breakthrough year for the tall, physical striker. He must maintain the recent momentum and impact.
For Czechia, who have struggled in the group, Naderi’s inclusion offers a fresh focal point against Thomas Tuchel’s England side at Wembley.
The hosts humbled Croatia on Saturday with a 7-0 scoreline in Rijeka.
