John McGinn at Aston Villa
Rangers captain Lawrence Shankland is facing another prolonged absence after sustaining a severe hamstring problem during the weekend clash with Motherwell. Indeed, Rangers lost their skipper to this concerning injury during a 1-0 Scottish Premiership victory at Ibrox Stadium. Derek McInnes recently discussed the importance of Minsu Kim running around Lawrence Shankland to provide much-needed speed and creativity in the final third.
Career Before Aston Villa
McInnes has worked with the forward for a long time and knows his tactical value. Moreover, the manager praised Shankland for his well-taken penalty to win the match against Motherwell. However, the squad still needs far more attacking quality up top while their main striker recovers on the sidelines.
Career History Overview
Shankland represents Scotland at international level and wears the number 7 shirt for the Glasgow giants. Lawrence Shankland stands at 185 cm tall and operates primarily as an attacker. Furthermore, he has contributed three goals across four appearances this season.
