Players to watch

Rangers will be looking again to try to reach the top flight of Scottish Football and here are three players that will be crucial to their success.

Wesley Foderingham-

Foderingham is a recent arrival at Rangers following his departure from English League One side Swindon Town. The 24-year-old shot stopper spent four fairly impressive years at Swindon and now moves onto new challenges in Scotland as he will look to build from the back at Rangers and use his shot stopping powers to push Rangers up the league table. Foderingham made over 150 appearances for Swindon and will offer Rangers experience in-goal, but also potential for bigger things with the tender age of 24. Which in goalkeeper terms is as good as a 19-year old outfield player. He will certainly be a player to look out for this campaign if he can get in the team over Cammy Bell.

David Templeton-

The next player to look out for is a player who has been at the club since 2012. The 26-year-old winger has been a fine player for Rangers in recent season and has an impressive goalscoring record of 21 goals in 58 league games. His impressive displays going forward for Rangers will be crucial this season with his assists and goals giving Rangers a superb platform to go on and gain promotion back to the Scottish top flight. The former Hearts man scored a brilliant 15 goals in his first campaign with Rangers but has dropped off in the last two seasons with just 6 goals in the last two campaigns. He will be hoping that this year will be like his first and he can get back on track to the form everyone knows that he is clearly capable of. Watch this space.

Robert Kiernan-

Another new arrival in Glasgow, Robert Kiernan signed from Wigan on a two-year deal this summer and is just 24 years old. The former Republic of Ireland U21 International looks to be a very good addition to the Rangers squad. The former Wigan and Watford central defender will look to add solidity to the Rangers back line and help them to concede less goals in an attempt to give the forward line a better platform to go and score goals. The composed central defender will add quality and experience to the back line and his tough tackling and leadership could potentially be a huge asset for Rangers in the coming season.
