It has been a summer of change at Ibrox. New players have come in the door and the new-era under Mark Warburton has begun. It seems both ‘Gers fans and players are excited about the new dawn at Rangers.
A leading figure in Rangers previous campaigns, midfielder Nicky Law reckons that Rangers have come a long way in Warburton’s short tenure. The former Motherwell man previously stated that failing to gain promotion was the best possible outcome for the Ibrox club, and Warburton’s free flowing football will finally give the fans something to shout about.
Law has enjoyed a new midfield partnership in Rangers opening fixtures this season, linking up with Jason Holt and Andy Halliday. Law is excited about what the next 6 months will have in store for Rangers under the new Regime –
He said: “I think everyone knows how difficult it has been for the past few years at the club. The football hasn’t been great but it’s night and day now with the new manager. He’s been fantastic and you can see that all the lads have taken to him with his fresh ideas and style of play…
that’s just six weeks work, so the message is – how will we be in six months? We need to improve in front of goal but that will come.”
There is a new-found sense of optimism around Ibrox this season and Law is welcoming that fact. Law, who struggled with consistency last term, has has a solid start to the season and long may that continue.
