Winger Nathan Oduwa has returned to parent club Tottenham hotspur 5-months early after departing Ibrox by mutual consent earlier today.
Coming as a surprise to most ‘Gers fan, the 19-year old Englishman confirmed the news on his twitter account, posting ‘My time at Rangers has come to an end, but I’ll like to thank everyone associated with Rangers for making me feel at home both on & off the field.’

Oduwa made 19 appearances in royal blue, with his last coming away to Falkirk in December 19th. Oduwa lost his place in the side in the ‘Gers last fixtures after the signature of Harry Forrester and impressive performances of both Barry McKay and Kenny Miller in wide roles. It seems now Warburton has turned his attention to more long-term options with interesting developments regarding an Ibrox move for St. Johnstone winger Michael O’Halloran. With media outlets confirming the deal is ‘imminent’, it seems Oduwa was not in the manager’s plans.
