O’Halloran set for Rangers move

MICHAEL O’HALLORAN is set to be announced as Rangers latest signing.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder is due to Murray park this afternoon after a fee has been agreed between Rangers and St Johnstone, believed to be around £500,000.

It is understood St Johnstone have accepted the third bid for the attacker from Rangers as they have matched the asking price of the 24-year-old.

The ‘Gers were supposed to hold a press conference today at 1:30pm but have postponed it until 4pm, suggesting O’Halloran will announced.

The transfer saga has been going on for most of the window.

O’Halloran was on the cusp of joining the Glasgow giants as he was left out of Tommy Wrights squad for the match against Hamilton two weeks ago.

However, the sides could not agree on a fee and a stalemate followed. It is believed St. Johnstone and the Glasgow side  have now come to an agreement, and the midfielder is set to become Warburton’s fourth singing this window.

The Ibrox club have already captured Polish keeper Maciej Gostomski, Doncaster midfielder Harry Forrester and Hearts winger Billy King on loan for the rest of the season .

Accrington Stanley duo Matt Crooks and Josh Windass have also signed for the club on pre-contracts.
