RANGERS manager, Mark Warburton, has called for the SFA and SPFL to change the laws to stop teams from changing dimensions, ahead of the trip to Recreation Park on Saturday.
Alloa have brought the pitch in by around five yards on either side of the pitch and Warburton revealed he is “amazed” they are allowed do it.
Peter Houston, Falkirk manager, also wants Scottish football’s rule makers to stop teams from changing the size of their pitches after a similar move earlier in the season.
Despite the touch-line change at Recreation Park, Falkirk won 1-0 but Houston said: “It’s something the authorities should look at.”
Warburton told Rangers TV, ahead of the clash with Alloa on Saturday: “How can you change the dimensions of the pitch mid-season? I find that incredible.
“I’m a bit bemused by that. It didn’t catch a lot of headlines but I’m surprised, I’ve never seen it happen before.
“It’s not an issue, we’ll deal with it but I’m amazed it can happen mid-season.”
The ‘Gers are eight points ahead of second place Hibs in the Ladbrokes Championship in the race for automatic promotion.
The light blues beat Alloa 5-1 earlier in the season and the gaffer insists he won’t change his tactics.
He said: “The Philosophy never changes, formation won’t change.”
