“Fantastic idea” – A lot of Gers fans are delighted that their club will be showing the Europa League Qualifying match against Midtjylland live on their club TV channel.
The club have announced that they have purchased the UK TV rights for the game – and that their TV service will be the only place to watch the Gers compete in the Europa League.
All of the revenue generated from purchasing the service will also go back into the club – and the deal will also be offered out to larger establishments.
This news has gone down brilliantly with a lot of Rangers fans – who now know that their money will be used to benefit the club they love so dearly.
See the best of the reaction below.
For the first time RTV will be available commercially for Midtjylland v Rangers!
This Thursday we take on FC Midtjylland in the Europa League 3rd qualifying round 1st leg. As a Club, we have purchased the UK TV rights making Rangers TV the only platform to watch the match live.— RangersFC SLO (@RangersFCSLO) August 6, 2019
This is a great idea, but not having the facility to cast to my tv cuts it off at the knees. £9.99 to watch it on a tablet? You could maybe have announced this before people/pubs signed up for Premier Sports too…

Great step for the club but maybe you could've announced before I subscribed to @PremierSportsTV 🙈🤔

Some fans, however, wanted the club to announce this before they had signed up for Premier Sports – as they have now wasted their money.

Fantastic idea. Fans will be more than happy to pay the club direct for matches knowing its all going back to the club.

This is the sort of forward thinking our club was renowned for.#gallantpioneers

Class move. Should be looking to do this as much as possible. Just a shame the rules are idiotic.

Wish we could do this for all our games

Other Rangers fans are delighted by the move – and want to see more schemes like this across the season.
