“You’d tackle your granny” – A lot of Gers fans were thrilled with Jon Flanagan – after he turned in a solid display at left-back during Rangers 6-1 win over Hibernian.

Flanagan was signed by Steven Gerrard last year – on a free transfer from Liverpool, and he has gone on to make 31 appearances for Rangers.

Able to play as a full-back on either side of the pitch – the 26-year-old has found himself mainly at left-back since moving to Ibrox, and it looks like he is starting to make that position his.

He is known as a hard-tackling no-nonsense defender – and his style of play has endeared him to many Rangers fans.
