“That was a shambles” – A lot of Gers fans are annoyed at Steven Gerrard’s tactical decisions in the Old Firm game.
Rangers were comfortably beaten 2-0 at Ibrox by their archrivals, and a lot of the blame has to be pinned on Gerrard.
The Gers’ boss decided not to play any of his wingers and relied on James Tavernier as his only outlet.
This narrowed the play and made the game comfortable for Celtic – who were quite happy to pick Rangers off on the counter.
Rangers, who have had no problems scoring this season, failed to test Fraser Forster in the Celtic goal and, in truth, they were very poor.
These Gers fans are fuming at Gerrard.

Today was a terrible result & performance
Criticism for players & management deserved, Gerrard got his game plan wrong & we didn’t show up
Important not to overreact but we have to respond properly as a team & be a lot better
Tomorrow will be a better day…..

Just can’t understand why the manager got it so badly wrong! With all the experience and knowledge behind him what was he thinking! Majority on here could see the flaws in the lineup but they couldn’t! Just so disheartening

Stevie I’m sorry, overreact? That was a shambles, seriously, what was he thinking? Massive dent in our league title challenge on week 4, horrific

Many Rangers supporters entirely blame Gerrard for the defeat, and they believe he was tactically naïve.
No wingers why

Spot on mate, the hardest thing today is i think if we attacked them the game would have been different. Jones and Alfie should have started but Gerrard will be hurting.

Other Gers supporters do not understand the decision to not use any wingers – as it played into Celtic’s hands.
