Rangers vs Hibernian team news

Nico Raskin remains a doubt for Rangers after missing Sunday’s Old Firm derby with a hamstring injury.

Ryan Naderi is also a doubt as are John Souttar and Jayden Meghoma as the trio recover from recent injury issues.

Bailey Rice remains out with a long-term knock.

Irish midfielder Jamie McGrath is suspended for Hibs after being sent off in a recent loss to Celtic.

Rudi Molotnikov is also out for David Gray with an ankle injury.

What the managers said

Rohl admitted Rangers must change the mood quickly against Hibernian after three straight defeats ended both the club’s title hopes and damaged confidence around Ibrox.

The German described the final two matches of the season as crucial heading into the summer break.

“The last impression before a summer break should be a very positive one,” he said.

“Tomorrow, put everything on and take the right result because we’d hate it to lose games, all of us.”

Rohl also acknowledged supporter frustration following defeats to Motherwell, Hearts and Celtic.

But he also insisted he remains fully committed to the project despite speculation linking him with Bundesliga clubs.

“Of course, no question mark from my side,” he explained.

“I’m really motivated for the future to make it better and to bring something back that we all want.”

The Rangers boss also confirmed significant squad changes are expected this summer, particularly in leadership positions with Tavernier preparing for his final Ibrox appearance.

“We need new leaders, more leaders for the dressing room,” said Rohl.

“There will be changes and we have to change.”

David Gray

Gray meanwhile insists Hibernian travel to Ibrox believing they must win to keep their hopes of fourth place alive heading into the final weekend.

The Hibs boss said the mentality inside the squad has been boosted by their recent victory over Falkirk and claimed confidence remains high despite the difficult challenge awaiting them against Rangers.

“The attitude of the players and the mindset of the players is we need to go along to Ibrox and try and get three points to keep it alive for that fourth place,” said Gray.

“We need to win the game to keep it alive.”

Gray also warned against underestimating Rangers despite Rohl’s side arriving off the back of three consecutive defeats.

“It’s still a difficult place to go,” he explained.

“Up until two games to go, they were well in a title race, which shows you the level of performance that they’ve had this season.”

The Hibs manager also suggested Rangers players will still be highly motivated amid uncertainty surrounding futures at Ibrox this summer.

“Players will be playing for their futures as they always are, especially towards the end of the season.”

Gray also confirmed positive injury news ahead of the trip to Glasgow, with both Josh Mulligan and Rocky Bushiri back in training and available for selection.

“He’s fully fit and available if selected,” Gray said of Mulligan.

“Rocky has trained the last couple of days, feeling good, so he falls into contention for the squad as well.”

While the Premiership table may already be settled for Rangers, tonight’s meeting with Hibernian still carries significance at Ibrox.

For Tavernier, it marks the end of an era as the long-serving captain prepares for his final home appearance after more than a decade at the club.

It is also an opportunity for Rohl to halt growing negativity after three defeats and send Rangers into the summer with at least some momentum restored.

With major squad changes expected this summer and scrutiny surrounding Rohl continuing to intensify.

The atmosphere at Ibrox tonight could offer an early glimpse into the mood around Rangers ahead of what is shaping up to be a defining off-season.
