Rangers forward Yousef Chermiti is confident his Portugal U21 side can defeat Scotland as the striker comes up against familiar faces tomorrow.

Chermiti did not feature in that match but is determined “To show what Portugal is all about” in the return fixture.
Yousef Chermiti shines for Portugal
He is keen to add to his three U21 goals in what will be his seventh cap against Scot Gemmil’s side.
However, Chermiti was keen to emphasise that his team will need to be focused during the clash.
“The message passed on to the group is that we have to be humble and not think that the game will be easy,” he revealed.
“We always have to give our best, show what Portugal is all about.
“But I think that’s what we’ve been doing.”
Portugal confident ahead of Scotland test
Luis Freire’s side top the group, sitting five points ahead of both Czechia and third-placed Scotland.
The former Rio Ave boss has called for his team to have patience, and make use of their advantageous positon.
“The most important thing is to have patience in games,” he explained.
“Many times, we can create chances in the first half, but the most important thing is to have consistency and patience.
“Games are 90 minutes long, and therefore, what really matters is that we win.”

Chermiti will have no Rangers teammates in the Scotland squad to compete against, with Findlay Curtis promoted to the senior team.
He will, however, face off with familiar rivals in Celtic defender Colby Donovan and Rangers-linked Dundee defender Luke Graham.
Goals have been infrequent for the forward domestically this season.
Eight of his nine strikes have come against either Celtic or Hearts.
Danny Rohl will join every Rangers supporter in hoping more international finishes will provide Chermiti the confidence boost he needs to help fire the Gers to the Premiership title.
