- Danny Rohl has emphasised that the Gers are not relying on one goalscorer
- Rangers last nine goals have been different goalscorers
- Importance highlighted amid injury problems
The injury news coming from Danny Rohl at Auchenhowie this morning has created further problems ahead of the Falkirk clash.
If the confirmation that Ryan Naderi will miss out alonsgide Tuur Rommens was problematic enough, then the news that Mikey Moore and Andreas Skov Olsen could potentially be unavailable is even worse.
However, Rohl also commented on that it is “great” that there has been a number of different players contributing of late with Rangers’ last nine goals all from a different goalscorer.
Therefore, the recent attacking surge could be the solution to the concerning injury woes and be what carries the team through Sunday’s match against a tough opponent.
Multiple goal scorers highlights Rangers’ togetherness
Let’s say that Rohl had revealed the name a player who had scored 30+ goals all season with five in the last three matches was injured, the worry would be who could replace a huge attacking threat.
However, if Rangers’ last three matches are to be any indication, that is not the case.
Naderi, Dujon Sterling, Thelo Aasgaard and Bojan Miovski were the goal scorers against Dundee United, Chukwuani, Moore, Nico Raskin and James Tavernier in the victory over Aberdeen and Rommens in the visit to St Mirren.
Not only does this show the togetherness and team spirit between the players that they can share the workload, so to speak, but that amid injury problems, Rohl knows that he can count upon other attacking performers.
Therefore, as long as the Gers’ can keep creating the goals and further improve in attack, then the support will not feel fearful upon hearing the omission of certain players.
Potential player unavailability means others need to step up
However, with Naderi missing, Moore potentially unavailable and it being too soon for Rommens, this means that Rangers’ recent attacking threat will be slightly diminished for the visit to Falkirk.
This is where the likes of Aasgaard, Miovski and Sterling have to prove they are worthy of the jersey and provide the composure in front of goal on a more consistent basis in the absence of others.
Aasgaard’s strike against the Tangerine’s at Ibrox was his first league goal since January whereas Miovski had not scored in the Premiership since the win over Kilmarnock in February.

Rohl should be lauded for his ability to tune the best out of the aforementioned players to deliver.
But what is also important is that you need to be a consistent, reliable and regular threat and the aforementioned players are yet to meet that.
With Naderi out, Rommens yet to return and question marks over Moore and Skov Olsen, the importance of Rangers keeping up their resurgence in attack is vital.
There are six games until the end of the season and if Rohl’s men keep scoring and winning then they will be rewarded with silverware.
