Rangers manager Danny Rohl wants the fans to ‘keep believing’ following Rangers’ loss to Motherwell.

The Gers shot themselves in the foot after conceding two goals before the 25th minute, making it an uphill battle.

Rohl made three changes at halftime, bringing on Mikey Moore, James Tavernier, and Mo Diomande.

The Rangers manager was encouraged by the second-half display and highlighted that they need to play like that for 90 minutes.

Youssef Chermiti scored a brace to get Gers fans believing again, but they were sucker punched by a late Motherwell winner.

Rohl was defiant in defeat and doesn’t believe the title race has finished just yet.

Fighting speech from Danny Rohl

The manager spoke to Rangers TV following today’s defeat.

He said, “I am very disappointed. I think you could see it was two different halves.”

“Second half, we played with courage, intensity, and quality on the ball. We had good organisation and created a lot of unbelievable moments.”

“The most important thing is to keep believing, I think this is exactly the time to work with this picture.”

“I think it’s time now to use the slogan, and go until the end, but today it hurts, and we are disappointed.”

“But there are still four more games to go, and it’s up to us.”

“I think if we play like we did in the second half for 90 minutes, then we will have a great chance to win the games.”

“We must win the next game, I think there is no question mark. Our group never gives up, so keep believing, and we will go again.”

In my opinion, Rohl focused too much on the positives from the second half rather than what needs addressing in the first half.

We all know Rangers possess the quality to hurt teams and score goals mercilessly.

However, the Gers seem to need to concede first before they realise they are in a game of football.

Rohl highlighted ‘we must win the next game,’ but if they start like they did today, Hearts and Celtic will secure three points.

The manager is right in some respects. There are still four games left to win the title, and it’s not over yet.
