- Nico Raskin was missing from the Rangers squad against Celtic on Sunday
- The rumour mill turned up speculation of a dispute with Danny Rohl, which was quickly shot down by Four Lads Had A Dream
- The fan media source confirmed the Belgian international is nursing a hamstring issue
There was surprise and intrigue when the Rangers’ team sheet landed at Parkhead on Sunday, with Nico Raskin omitted.
What is the problem? Is he injured? Something else?
In the lead-up to kick-off, Danny Rohl’s interview with Rangers TV confirmed that the Belgian was suffering from a muscular problem, with similar issues ruling out Ryan Naderi and John Souttar.
Rangers would go on to lose the game 3-1, but the update didn’t stop the social media speculation.
Nico Raskin injury issue explained
Claims were made that a bust-up had taken place between Rohl and Nico Raskin, with the outcome that the player was dropped.
However, fan media outlet Four Lads Had A Dream quickly poured scorn on the rumours.
It was stated that the Belgian international was nursing a hamstring issue.

Would Nico Raskin have made a difference at Parkhead?
Fans will have their own opinions, but his presence alone made no real difference against Motherwell and Hearts.
Nico Raskin is a very good player, but not quite as much as the hype suggests. Certainly not on a consistent basis.
He does suffer from Rangers’ midfield players being too similar, but performances like the second half at Falkirk are just too few and far between.
Raskin’s immediate concern will be to return to full fitness, and with the World Cup in mind, no risks should be taken for the last two games against Hibs and Falkirk.
That makes sense from a Rangers perspective as well.
Same as Naderi, Tuur Rommens and anyone else. If there is any risk or potential knock-on effect of an injury, there is no need for them to play.
