Mikey Moore Loan Stance Gives Rangers Fresh Transfer Encouragement

Rangers have received fresh encouragement over a possible Mikey Moore return, with Tottenham reportedly open to another loan.

Spurs do not want to sell the winger this summer, but another temporary move could still happen.

The 18-year-old spent the 2025/26 campaign at Ibrox and became one of the most intriguing parts of Rangers’ attack. Now, according to the Daily Record, Tottenham could allow Moore out for another season-long loan.

That matters for Rangers because Derek McInnes still needs reliable wide threat, pace and young upside.

Moore already understands the Ibrox environment. He also knows the pressure of Scottish football and the demands of a club where promising performances must quickly become wins.

Moore Decision Gives Rangers A Clear Transfer Line

For Rangers, the key detail is the gap between a loan and a sale.

If Tottenham are not ready to cash in, McInnes and the recruitment staff must decide whether another temporary deal still suits the rebuild.

There is a strong football argument for it.

Moore gave Rangers direct running and invention last season. Another year in Glasgow could give Tottenham a high-pressure development route while handing McInnes a player who would not need the usual settling-in period.

ReadRangers has already covered how Mikey Moore return talk grew after an off-season link-up with Ibrox teammates. That story showed why the idea of another loan has never fully gone away.

The risk is just as obvious.

Rangers cannot build too much of their new attack around players they do not control. A second Moore loan would help the short-term picture, but it would not solve the long-term squad-value question.

That does not make it a bad route.

If the terms are sensible, this is exactly the kind of loan that can bridge the gap while Rangers line up permanent targets.

Tottenham’s position now leaves Rangers with a decision to make.

They can push early for a familiar game-changer, or they can move on before pre-season plans harden.
