Craig Clark has been named as part of Derek McInnes’ Rangers backroom staff after the club confirmed the new manager’s support team at Ibrox.
Rangers announced McInnes as men’s first-team manager on a three-year contract, with the former Ibrox midfielder returning to the club from Heart of Midlothian.
The same update confirmed that Alan Archibald, Paul Sheerin and Clark will join McInnes in Glasgow.
That gives the new Rangers manager a familiar coaching group before pre-season work begins.
Clark Role Adds Detail To McInnes Rangers Reset
The appointment matters because McInnes is being asked to make an immediate impact.
Rangers finished third last season and moved quickly after Danny Röhl’s exit to RB Salzburg.
Clark is not the headline name in the reshuffle, but his inclusion gives the new set-up added technical coaching depth. That matters when Rangers are trying to sharpen standards quickly.
Rangers confirmed the staff details in their official Derek McInnes appointment announcement.
Chairman Andrew Cavenagh also described McInnes as the figure the club needs at this moment.
