Mikey Moore Loan Claim Hands McInnes Fresh Rangers Test

Alan Hutton has urged Rangers to consider a move for Tottenham teenager Mikey Moore, handing Derek McInnes another reminder of the loan-market value that may be available this summer.

Speaking in comments relayed by The Scottish Sun, the former Ibrox defender said he would love to see Moore at Rangers, while also backing McInnes to impose a clearer standard around recruitment.

McInnes Gets A Wide-Area Reminder

The Moore point matters because Rangers have already started reshaping the squad around McInnes. Rangers confirmed his appointment last week, with Alan Archibald, Paul Sheerin and Craig Clark joining his staff for the rebuild.

Moore is not presented as an imminent Rangers signing, but Hutton’s argument still carries weight. The 18-year-old is a high-upside wide player, and Rangers need to ensure any attacking addition brings pace, direct running and pressure on established starters.

That is the balance McInnes must strike. A loan can look cheap on paper, but the wrong profile blocks pathway minutes and adds little resale value. The right one, however, can give Rangers the explosive edge they lacked too often last season.

With Europa League planning already moving toward the July 20 draw, the winger department cannot become a late-window scramble.
