Partizan Belgrade has sent their best wishes to the outgoing Vanja Dragojevic after the midfielder sealed his move to Rangers on Thursday.
The Serbian international player becomes the seventh signing of the summer for Derek McInnes’ team, joining the club on a four-year deal in a reported £4.6 million deal.
The official announcement from the club attributed words to McInnes praising the player’s leadership qualities and his readiness to perform at Ibrox.
“He’s got huge potential, really exciting attributes, and boasts the character to play in this environment, said the Gers boss.
Dragojevic’s former club went even further, praising one of their own in a glowing endorsement of their latest export.

The translation of the tribute to the new Rangers midfielder reads:
“FC Partizan and Scottish Rangers reached an agreement on the transfer of the former captain of the black and white team, Vanja Dragojevic, to the ranks of the club from Glasgow.
“The 20-year-old footballer went through all the younger selections of Partizan, while the period spent at Teleoptik represented an important stage in his football development.
They continued, “He made his debut for Parni Valjak’s first team in March 2025, played a total of 52 official games in the black and white jersey and scored four goals, and in 34 matches he led the team with the captain’s armband.
“Due to his professional attitude towards obligations, fighting spirit and character, he became one of the most favorite players of the new generation of Partizan football players, appreciated by his teammates and fans.
“FC Partizan thanks Vanja for everything he provided in the black and white jersey and wishes him much success in his future career. Vanya, good luck!”
Dragojevic signing ticks the boxes for Rangers
A full international, experience as a captain, familiar with playing in front of demanding, passionate fans, and a red-hot city derby – on paper, this should be a great signing.
The player will need to acclimatise to Derek McInnes’ system and the rigours of Scottish football, but he appears to be well placed for it.
Rangers supporters will look forward to the eye test and hopefully, the first glimpse of Vanja Dragojevic in a Rangers shirt will come this Sunday against West Ham United in the final pre-season friendly.
