Rangers winger Oliver Antman is being considered as a potential summer signing by Eredivisie side FC Twente.
As reported by Aron Kattenpoel in Dutch outlet Sportnieuws, the Finland international is being monitored by the Enschede club, who recently signed Wout Weghorst from Ajax.
Mohamed Ihattaren and Joel Drommel are also on Twente’s radar as the aim to push on from their hard earned fourth-place finish in the Eredivisie last season.
As for Rangers and Antman, this could be a move to suit both parties, given the precarious position that the player finds himself in.
Oliver Antman linked with FC Twente
Oliver Antman hasn’t settled since joining Rangers from Go Ahead Eagles last summer.
He penned a four year deal for a reported £3 million, with the Deventer club due another million if the terms are met.
At present, that looks unlikely, and he hasn’t exactly won the trust of Derek McInnes yet.
The manager loudly railed against the winger after he came on as a sub against West Ham on Sunday, with McInnes clearly wanting more.
Oliver Antman won hs move to Glasgow after a fine 2024/25 season with Go Ahead Eagles, which culminated in a landmark Dutch Cup success.
In the Eredivisie that season, he recorded six goals and a massive 15 assists from 32 appearances.
The 24-year-old burst into Ibrox with an immediate impact against Viktoria Plzen in a Champions League qualifier, but ever since, he hasn’t secured anything greater than a bit-part role.
Unfortunately, there’s no evidence to believe the winger is on the cusp of a significant upturn anytime soon – and at a time when Rangers are actively seeking to improve the right wing position.
