Sevilla are not preparing a move for Rangers midfielder Connor Barron, despite recent speculation.
According to Andalusian outlet El Pespuntes, there are no plans to bring Barron to Spain this summer.
The report did confirm Barron was previously tracked by the La Liga club, but nothing more than that.
The 23-year-old has been a peripheral figure at Ibrox so far this summer, with an injury ruling him out of the pre-season camp, and it hasn’t got much better since.
He watched on from the Main Stand as Hibs beat Rangers 2-1 on Sunday, but has been returned to the squad with a place on the bench for Rangers v Jagiellonia Bialystok in the Europa League decider.
What next for Connor Barron?
Unless something dramatic and unexpected happens, it appears Connor Barron has no long-term Rangers future under Derek McInnes.
The squad is top-heavy with players in his position after the arrivals of Dan Neil, Cammy Devlin, and Vanja Dragojevic in recent weeks, on top of the players already in the building.
He could follow Mohamed Diomande out of the club, and with Bologna among other clubs previously linked with interest in Barron, Rangers should not be short of offers for the player.

NEWS UPDATE
With Rangers’ line-up confirmed against Jagiellonia, Connor Barron takes his place in the squad for the first time this season.
A breakthrough seems unlikely, but Barron could be called upon in this crucial European clash.
