Rangers goalkeeper Mason Munn is attracting loan interest from clubs in England and Scotland.
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, a temporary exit from Ibrox is on the cards ahead of the end of the rransfer window.
The 20-year-old shot-stopper is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the Gers’ academy system, but he didn’t have the most fruitful time on loan at Dunfermline last season.
The interest is no surprise given the summer rebuild between the posts.
Ivor Pandur’s arrival from Hull City in a £6m deal installed a new first choice, and with Liam Kelly providing experienced cover, first-team opportunities for Munn look limited this season, as expected.
Regular football elsewhere would follow a well-worn path after Rangers sanctioned development loans this summer for Bailey Rice (Kilmarnock), Paul Nsio (St Mirren) and Queen’s Park pair Zebedee Lawson and Aiden McCallion.
Where Mason Munn stands at Ibrox
Munn joined the Rangers academy in 2022, with the club said to have identified “considerable potential” in the youngster.
He made his first-team debut in the 2024/25 Scottish Cup under Phillipe Clement, helping the Light Blues to a 5-0 win over Fraserburgh.
No destination has been named at this stage, and the link remains at the interest stage rather than a done deal.
With Derek McInnes’ recruitment focus fixed on a new striker and defensive reinforcements, a loan for Munn would be about accelerating his development rather than trimming the squad.
