Oasis have announced five concert dates at Celtic Park in Glasgow for May 2027, and the news has triggered a strong reaction from a section of Rangers supporters on social media, according to the Daily Record.
The Gallagher brothers will play the Parkhead venue on May 21, 23, 25, 28 and 29 as part of the Oasis Live ’27 tour, with the run falling across dates that carry particular significance for Celtic.
Oasis Announce Five Concert Dates at Celtic Park
The five Glasgow shows were confirmed as part of the wider Oasis Live ’27 itinerary, with Celtic Park hosting Liam and Noel Gallagher across five separate nights next May.
The scheduling has not gone unnoticed among the Rangers support, given the venue’s identity as Celtic’s home ground.
May 25, 2027 falls on the 60th anniversary of Celtic’s Lisbon Lions European Cup triumph, while the closing date of May 29 coincides with Noel Gallagher’s 60th birthday.
Neither Oasis nor Celtic have commented publicly on whether the dates were chosen with those anniversaries in mind, and no such claim is made here beyond noting the coincidence of timing.
Official Tour Details and Presale Registration Rules
Tickets for the Celtic Park concerts will not be released through general sale.
Fans wishing to attend must instead register via an official sign-up link ahead of a presale registration deadline set for Thursday, September 17 at 4pm BST.
Those who register in time will be issued a unique presale access code, which is required to attempt to purchase tickets once the presale window opens.
As with previous legs of the Oasis Live ’27 tour, demand for Glasgow tickets is expected to be significant, and registration does not guarantee access to a presale code or to tickets themselves.
Rangers Supporters React to Parkhead Venue Choice
Reaction among Rangers fans has been mixed but vocal, with a number of supporters posting on X and TikTok to declare they would boycott the Celtic Park shows, as reported by the Daily Record.
One user on X wrote: “Any Rangers fan that goes to this is off their f***ing nut, would be like a f***ing oversized Wolf Tones gig.”
Another posted: “Desperate for Oasis tickets but not desperate enough to set foot in Paris or Celtic Park.”
A TikTok video from an unnamed Rangers supporter addressed the Gallagher brothers directly, saying: “I’m all about the banter, I love the football but see last week when I seen rumours Oasis were gonna play Celtic Park, I thought nah there’s no way they would do that to us but they f***ing did. I just want to publicly tag yous and tell you that you are a pair of f*****g a***holes. Shove your tickets because I’ll no be coming to Celtic Park. I went to Murrayfield and had the time of my life last year.”
That reference is to Oasis’s earlier Live ’25 shows at BT Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
Not every Rangers supporter has taken the same stance. One X user wrote: “I’ve applied for them. Glasgow was my 3rd choice. If I’m unlucky enough and get tickets for there they will be sold.”
Another social media post, from a football fan responding to the boycott calls, read: “Canny wait to wear my Rangers strip to Parkhead HWG.”
A Celtic season ticket holder also responded to the boycott videos on TikTok, writing: “Definitely bitter. I’m a ST holder at Celtic Park and I couldn’t care less if they played Ibrox. I’d most definitely be there, its music not football. Get a grip.”
These posts, cited by the Daily Record, reflect individual views shared online rather than any coordinated or official position from any Rangers supporters’ groups.
For many Rangers fans who are Oasis-inclined, all roads will lead to Manchester.
Ticket Timeline and Key Dates for Fans
Fans hoping to attend any of the five Celtic Park dates must register their interest before the Thursday, September 17 deadline at 4pm BST to be considered for a presale code.
Those who miss the registration window are not guaranteed a further opportunity to buy tickets, as the shows will not go to general sale. The Oasis concerts will take place in Glasgow on May 21, 23, 25, 28 and 29, 2027.
Other UK, Ireland, and European dates have been set, including a home run at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
