Danny Rohl’s Rangers face St Mirren away from home to begin the road to nine cup finals, according to the manager.
The Gers come into the fixture off the back of three wins in nine and are desperate to make up ground on Hearts.
They sit six points behind the Edinburgh side, meaning a victory is the only valid conclusion on Sunday.
Meanwhile, St Mirren reel from manager Stephen Robinson’s abrupt move to Aberdeen.
The Buddies currently sit 10th in the Scottish Premiership, having picked up 24 points so far this season.
Despite their low league position, the Paisley outfit is the reigning League Cup champions and has reached the Scottish Cup semifinal.
Given these circumstances, both teams are desperate for a positive result to boost their hopes at opposite ends of the table.
