Three Rangers players have been included in Steve Clarke’s 26-man squad ahead of friendlies against Japan and the Ivory Coast.
It’s vital that players be included in this squad, with the World Cup finals just around the corner.
Clarke has named an incredibly strong squad ahead of the latest friendlies, including a surprise Gers addition.
Liam Kelly and John Souttar have become regular fixtures in the Scotland squad, but one name stands out.
Curtis has been incredible for Killie in recent weeks, earning a reward for his performances.
The right wing has been a problem for Danny Rohl, and Curtis’ latest call-up is a sign he could be ready very soon.
Liam Kelly (goalkeeper)
Liam Kelly has spent most of this season playing second fiddle to Jack Butland in the Rangers net.
Kelly has been pretty much unused behind Butland, featuring in only three games this season.
Most recently, he kept clean sheets against Annan Athletic and an 8-0 victory over Queens Park.
Kelly serves as a useful backup for the Gers, providing Scotland with a handy replacement should Angus Gunn suffer an injury.
John Souttar (defender)
Souttar is one of Rangers’ and Scotland’s most trusted central defenders, providing calmness and real experience.
Starting every one of his 21 available matches, he gives Scotland a ball-playing defender who excels at building from the back.
Souttar’s completed 90.3% of his passes and 58.3% of his long balls.
He’s also created 10 big chances for the Gers this season, showcasing his ability with his feet.
Defensively, he accounted for 24 tackles and 13 blocks while spearheading 78 recoveries.
He hasn’t received a red card in the league this season and brings an experienced head into the Scotland dressing room.
Souttar will likely start at centre-back for Scotland in the upcoming friendlies.
Rangers-loanee Findlay Curtis (forward)
After making inroads under Russell Martin, Danny Rohl decided it was best to send him on loan.
For Killie, he’s a versatile player who’s adapted to playing right back and earned his stripes on the wing.
Against Hearts at the weekend, Curtis helped his parent club immeasurably, helping Killie beat the table-toppers 1-0.
In 82 minutes, he had five shots and successfully completed 6/6 dribbles in the match.
With the issues Rangers are facing in the right wing now, especially the troubles with Andreas Skov Olsen, Curtis must have his eyes set on Ibrox.

The call-up of Curtis is a real eye-opener for Rohl, who now has a clear option at right wing for the near future.
Souttar and Kelly’s inclusion shows the strength and depth the Gers hold in defence, and while they are trusted figures for club and country, they will need to show their worth in the coming weeks when called upon.
Souttar has lost his place to Nasser Djiga over the last two games, reflecting the drop in his performance levels.
Will Connor Barron join that squad in time for the World Cup?
