Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh has issued an update to supporters ahead of the crucial final stretch of his debut season in charge at Ibrox.

He touched on several key topics, including restoring a “winning DNA” to the club and the recent Old Firm unrest.

Full backing for Danny Rohl

However, one stance has stood out among the support: his backing of head coach Danny Rohl.

“We are three points off the lead, with seven matches to play,” the chairman said.

“We have complete confidence in Danny, his staff, and our squad. We will approach each match as it comes, and fingers crossed, we will be at the top of the table after 38 matches.”

Cavenagh also called on fans to maintain their unwavering support for the management and players.

He said: “We are in this together – whether creating the club’s culture, providing financial support or cheering on the squad.

“These are exciting times and I’m confident that we are getting Rangers back to where we should be and need to be.

“I’m honoured to be doing this alongside each and every one of you.”

Andrew Cavenagh on accountability and ambition

The new Rangers board are being open about earlier mistakes in their tenure.

In January they had an online roundtable with representatives from fan media, the Fan Advisory Board, NARSA and others.

Cavenagh acknowledged errors at executive level during this meeting.

He stressed that the board is taking ownership of those decisions and is committed to improving how the club is run.

In doing so, he emphasised Rohl’s influence, praising the head coach’s tireless efforts to bring success back to Ibrox.

He is also clear that the board’s ambition is not limited to results on the pitch.

The chairman suggested their is a clear aim for Rangers to thrive both on the field and structurally as a club.

That belief in the German was evident in the January window.

He was backed with four new recruits, three on permanent deals.

This continued the upturn of a squad he has transformed from mid-table underperformers into bona fide title contenders since his arrival in October.

Full house. Full voice. Full ninety.

The club have also launched a campaign since the turn of the year.

The slogan “Full house. Full voice. Full ninety.” has been the rallying cry, urging supporters to keep the faith and back the team until the end.

It is being recieved warmly, with the team enjoying unwavering support through recent highs and lows.

Rangers continue to build momentum at the right time.

The statistical chances of being champions have risen by 9% to 38% amid their run of 14 matches unbeaten in the league.

They are three points off the top and the data suggests the title race is a finely balanced three-way battle.

Rangers must now hunt down Hearts and as Rohl himself has said, “seven cup finals” remain.

Win them, and he, his squad and the board will cement their place in Rangers history.
