Jack Butland has effectively drawn a line under his Rangers career after posting an emotional farewell message while his move to Hull City edges toward completion.
Sky Sports reports the 33-year-old is close to sealing a £3 million switch in the opposite direction after Rangers confirmed the arrival of Ivor Pandur from Hull on a four-year deal, subject to international clearance.

Butland Exit Sharpens Rangers Goalkeeper Reset
Butland arrived at Ibrox in 2023 and leaves after more than 150 Rangers appearances, a League Cup winners’ medal and a spell in which he became one of the most visible figures of the post-Allan McGregor transition.
The timing matters. Rangers confirmed Pandur while the Croatian is away at the World Cup, with Derek McInnes praising the goalkeeper’s presence, character and capacity to become a commanding figure.
That gives this deal a clean football logic. Butland’s farewell carries obvious sentiment, but the squad-planning message is colder: McInnes wants a new first-choice structure in place before the Europa League qualifiers and Scottish Premiership opener start applying pressure.
For Rangers, this is no longer just a goalkeeper transfer. It is the clearest sign yet that the rebuild is moving from talk into hard decisions.
