Rangers’ highly-rated midfield prospect, Paul Nsio, is set to spend this season on loan at St. Mirren.
The London-born 20-year-old enjoyed a successful campaign in the Championship with Raith Rovers last season and he has now been rewarded with a step-up.
As reported by Chris Jack, Nsio has earned a contract extension as part of the overall arrangement that will see him join Craig McLeish’s squad in Paisley.
This is a step in the right direction for player and club, and hopefully another top-level loan stint similar to Findlay Curtis’ spell at Kilmarnock earlier this year.
The move represents the latest in Rangers transfer news, with a considerable job ahead to rebalance the squad.

One loan spell isn’t always enough to prove that a young player is ready for the rigours of first-team football at Ibrox, but playing in the Scottish Premiership is the right platform for an audition.
Findlay Curtis made a great impact at Rugby Park last season, but he hasn’t quite been able to take advantage of his enhanced status so far in pre-season.
His situation could yet change, but hopefully he can stay to make an impact under Derek McInnes. Further loan enquiries are likely.
Now, Nsio needs to forge his own path.
Will extend his deal once again
“Nsio has been involved with Derek McInnes’ squad during the pre-season schedule and was on the bench for the friendly against West Ham after featuring in the win over Saint-Etienne, said the report.
“The Englishman penned a two-year contract ahead of his move to Raith last summer and the Rangers Review understands he will now extend that deal once again. Nsio is then set to move to St Mirren to give him experience of playing in the Premiership this term.”
