Rangers have confirmed the signing of Ivor Pandur from Hull City, turning Derek McInnes’ goalkeeper reset from transfer theory into an immediate Ibrox reality.
The club announcement states that the Croatia international has joined on a four-year deal, subject to international clearance. The Scottish Sun reports the fee is around £6million, with Jack Butland heading to Hull City in a separate transaction after three seasons at Rangers.

Pandur Becomes McInnes’ Fourth Summer Arrival
Pandur follows Lawrence Shankland, Ross McCrorie and Ben Godfrey through the door, giving McInnes a new first-choice contender before Rangers’ European qualifiers sharpen the pressure on the rebuilt squad.
The attraction is clear. Pandur is 26, fresh from Hull’s promotion-winning campaign, and currently with Croatia at the World Cup. STV Sport reported he played all but one of Hull’s Championship fixtures last season, a durability point that matters for a side needing instant stability.
For Rangers, the sharper issue is command. Butland’s exit removes an experienced voice from the back line, while Pandur arrives with a fee, a long contract and the expectation of starting quickly. ReadRangers has already examined how the Butland-Pandur swap would shape McInnes’ reset; confirmation now moves the debate from recruitment logic to performance evidence.
If Pandur settles fast, Rangers have refreshed a premium position with a goalkeeper entering his prime years. If he needs time, McInnes’ new-look defence will carry the first real stress test of the summer rebuild.
