Further backing for Bojan Miovski to be Rangers man of the moment

Bojan Miovski has been given further backing to go on and make a decisive impact on Rangers’ title charge.

Fresh from his two goal cameo against Falkirk on Sunday, the North Macedonian striker appears to be blooming at the right moment for Danny Rohl’s team.

Miovski’s impact has been welcome from all quarters, especially in the absence of Ryan Naderi.

With the German-born striker set to be unavailable for the next few weeks, Miovski has to step up…and the indications are that he is a man up for the task.

The former Girona player now has three goals in his last two games.

Bojan Miovski could be the ‘ace in the pack’

Against Falkirk, he was in the right place at the opportune time. His two goals were the type Super Ally would have been proud of.

Quite simply, Rangers looked the part with two up front – as Miovski dovetailed with Youssef Chermiti.

He could turn out to be Rangers secret weapon to fire them to the title, and former Ibrox player and coach Alex Rae believes he has returned from international duty determined to prove a point.

“I think he could be the ace in the pack, for me he looks to be the more natural goal scorer, Rae told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.

“Now even with Naderi, if he was fit, he (Miovski) looks to me to be more natural finisher. So it’s important for him to get goals.

Rae continued, “We said in January it could potentially be him out the door because it wasn’t as if he was getting a lot of game time.

“I think he’s currently on 13 goals, which is not bad for a fringe player, if you like, and I think he can play a big part.”

Rohl tells Miovski to be ready

Miovski is now pushing hard and his impact is evident.

That is pleasing Danny Rohl who has challenged his player to continue this strong form so that he cannot leave him out.

The German coach was asked after the Falkirk clash if he was happy with the striker’s contribution, and he responded:

“This is Bojan’s job, if he wants. Youssef scored as well, which is great and a good story.

“Bojan was very close to starting today. I had a short conversation with him and I told him to be ready if we needed him.

“He delivered again and it’s good to have two strikers scoring.”

Danny Rohl is correct, this is Miovski’s moment to seize the opportunity with both hands.

Rangers are creating lots of chances and taking plenty – with 15 goals in the last four games.

With this in mind, the stars are aligning for Bojan Miovski who appears to be entering the best form of his time at Ibrox so far, just when it is required.

Miovski was also praised by former Aberdeen interim boss Neil Warnock.

He had a goal disallowed against former club Aberdeen, then got himself on the scoresheet against Dundee United.

On Sunday at Falkirk, his brace was great to see. Proper striker’s goals.
